Good use case discovery is a structured process: map the full inventory of knowledge work tasks where AI could plausibly add value, score them on business impact and technical feasibility, and pick the top two or three to POC. A good POC tests one thing: does Claude solve this problem well enough to justify production investment? First, they have an executive sponsor with real authority and genuine interest โ not a middle manager who's "interested in AI." Second, they have a dedicated deployment team that includes both technical and business resources, not a part-time tiger team. Third, they treat the security and governance stream as parallel, not sequential โ starting it before the POC is complete rather than after.
